Who Needs Carbs

managing an LCHF lifestyle in Israel

(April 24, 2011)

The Paleo diet or “prehistoric man diet”, is another beneficial for your body diet form. Why? Because it’s built on the principle “what we were evolutionary meant to eat”.

It’s as simple as –

What did humans eat for millions of years? = It’s good for us!

  • Meat, fish, poultry, eggs
  • Vegetables, fruits, roots, nuts
  • Animal fat

What did we not eat? = That will harm your health!

  • Sugar (certainly not artificial sweeteners)
  • Grains (all pastas and pastries)
  • Margarine
  • Dairy products

Is it the same as LCHF? No!

– But there are things in common, mainly the outlook on what we were meant to eat and what the body knows how to break down in a good and efficient manner.

– And there are differences: on LCHF one doesn’t eat fruit or starch-rich roots but one eats fatty dairy products.

So what should one choose?

It depends on your goal – Do you have diabetes problems? Obesity problems? If yes, then you should try to avoid anything that will convert into sugar in your body, even fruit and starches, thus it’s better with LCHF.

Do want “only” want a more healthy diet – Paleo can do.

But!!! Everyone is unique and therefore has to try and find his or her optimal method. There are those who benefit from paleo with fat cheeses, and those doing LCHF with no dairy products at all.

Try! The only way to know. 🙂

And here’s a link I found today. Although it says paleo it’s also suitable for LCHF. 😉

10 reasons not to eat paleo
